Since converting to 100% organic in 2004, all of the products we produce and manufacture have been certified organic and proudly bear the USDA Organic Seal. Each of our farms and our processing plant are certified organic by USDA National Organic Program accredited certifiers. The Colorado Department of Agriculture and Oregon Tilth are the organic certifiers for our Colorado Farms, our Texas farms are certified by both Oregon Tilth and Quality Assurance International (QAI), and our milk plant is certified by QAI.
The organic certification process includes the development of comprehensive organic system plans that are reviewed and approved by our USDA accredited certifying agents. The process includes regular audits and inspections of our facilities in accordance with the organic regulations.
The independent farmers and growers we work with have valid organic certifications, and our sourcing policies require that these suppliers only provide us with organic-approved products and supplies. To learn more about the USDA National Organic Program, click here.
Our products are Kosher certified by the Orthodox Union and our facilities are certified by Validus, an independent auditor that certifies our farms for high standards of animal care and employee care. We also work with other third-party certification programs, such as the Safe Quality Food Institute (SQF) to monitor our plant processing quality and ensure we maintain the highest standards for food safety and quality.
