Research

The Aurora Organic Dairy foundation and the company’s founders have funded research projects for the organic dairy industry with universities including Colorado State University, the University of Michigan and the University of New Hampshire. The projects include studies on soil fertility and crops, energy use and emissions, and organic dairy farming.

We work with our academic researchers to share the findings with the broader organic dairy community, furthering the continuous improvement goals that are a critical component of the organic movement.

We support several smaller-scale research initiatives on our dairies and in our processing plant with leading veterinary and food science colleges. The projects provide hands-on training and real-world experience for interns and graduate students. Our foundation and the company also make donations to other industry initiatives to fund research on the benefits of organic agriculture and products.
