Organic Processing Plant...

Aurora Organic Dairy’s processing facility is one of the only fluid milk plants in the U.S. that is dedicated to organic milk processing. Each year we process millions of gallons of both ultra-pasteurized and pasteurized milk on a relatively small footprint. Our facility is built just a few hundred yards from our first organic farm.

Our state-of-the-art milk bottling facility was designed with environmental sustainability in mind. Low-wattage lighting, variable speed motors and heavy-duty insulation to prevent heat and energy loss are just a few of the many energy efficient and conservation systems in place. It even has its own water pre-treatment facility, giving the plant a virtually net zero water footprint.

Inside the facility, our lab is staffed with a team of quality control specialists who test the milk at numerous points along the supply chain for freshness and food safety. They also conduct sensory testing of the incoming milk and the finished product. Because we operate dairy farms too, we can provide immediate feedback to the farms to help maintain the best tasting milk possible.
