The people of our Aurora Organic Farms are the cornerstone of our success. They embody the principles of hard work, commitment to excellence, dedication to organic stewardship and embracing innovation and change.
A farm is a close-knit community unto itself. Many of our farm employees live on or near our farm with their families. Working night and day to uphold the health of our cows, managing the feed and pasture that nourish them, stewarding them through the various stages of their lives -- from calf to pregnancy and on -- and keeping milk production flowing in a smooth way, our farm employees must constantly respond to the shifting needs and demands of running a farm.
We are proud of the fact that our farms feel like families -- with people working together who, in some cases, have worked together for decades. While no where is it set out in the organic regulations that an organic farm must be a welcoming, cooperative, fun environment in which to work, our farms are just that.
The people who manage our farms believe in the organic path. They believe in the humane and sustainable practices we have adopted towards people, animals and the earth. They are the front line of our business. Without them, we have neither happy, healthy organic cows, nor the highest quality, best-tasting organic milk out there.
